Alison Maria Krauss, born on July 23, 1971, is an American artist and performer. She was a teenager when she began her journey into the music world and was a winner of local contests at the age of 10 of age and recording her debut album at 14 years old. She signed to Rounder Records, her first album debuted in 1987. She joined the group with which she continues to perform, Alison Krauss Union Station. They released their first album in 1989.
