
Hanks His next role was that of an astronaut and commanding officer Jim Lovell in the 1995 docudrama Apollo 13. This reunited him again with Ron Howard. The Time magazine's Richard Schickel described his performance as "charming" and most people who reviewed the film agreed that Hanksperformance earned him a spot among the finest romantic comedy actors of his time.
