Tawny Kitaen

Julie Ellen "Tawny," Kitaen was an American model and actress. She lived between May 7th and August 5, 1961. Her television acting career began with Malibu (1983) and California Girls (1985). She also starred in comedy The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik-Yak and Bachelor Party (both 1984) and the horror film Witchboard (1986). Kitaen was famous for her performances in metal music videos that featured heavy metal such as Ratt's "Back for More", Whitesnake "Still of the Night" as well as "Is This love" (all 1987). Kitaen also appeared on reality television shows such as Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) and The Surreal Life (2006), which detailed Kitaen ?Ts problems with substance abuse. Julie Kitaen was the youngest of three children, born in San Diego in 1961 to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) as an actress and former beauty pageant contestant, and Terry Kitaen who worked for a neon sign business. Kitaen's mom was from Scottish and Irish descent, while her father was of Russian-Jewish origins. [3] Kitaen was raised within the Jewish faith. Kitaen was first introduced to the name "Tawny", at twelve years old, on her own initiative. [6] She was dyslexic as a child. The result was that she had to abandon Mission Bay High School. She was 14 when she went to see Penny Frampton perform in Balboa Stadium. [9]
