Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Olasio , also known as Ruiz, was born on 10 January 1993. He is also known as Rauw Alejandro. The name is often referred to as the "King of the New Reggaeton",[2][3the singer is part of "the younger generation" of Puerto Rican urban musicians. His debut album, Afrodisiaco, was released in the month of November in 2020. Vice Versa, his second studio album, came out in June of 2021. It included the title track "Todo de Ti". He's won two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Olasio was conceived in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on the 10th of January 1993. His family was born in Carolina and Canovanas. His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a musician and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his vocalist backing. He was introduced to music by Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. [6] Alejandro lived with his father for a long time throughout the United States, mostly New York City and Miami and Miami, where he was inspired by R&B and the dancehall genres. Alejandro and Anuel A.A. Anuel A.A., a friend of his Puerto Rican rapper are childhood close friends. They went to the same school together and shared classes. As a youngster, Alejandro competed in school talent shows due to an intense love for dancing. After having completed high school, Alejandro was enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico. From the age of 6 until he was twenty and played soccer but then he decided to quit because he "could not perform as he would have liked to" and suffered an injury when he was 20. He later moved to Orlando in hopes of being considered by the Premier Development League (PDL). Rauw Alejandro's music style includes Latin R&B, reggaeton, ballsads and rhythmic pop. Billboard said that his music "set his music distinct" from the growing group of Reggaetoneros with a pop-leaning. [23] He was influenced early on by Presley and Jackson, and later by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee, and Chris Brown. [24] He also mentions Ciara as an influence in music.
